Also pretty awesome how Capra uses so much of 'Triumph of the Will' to suit his own purposes

Arriving from Netflix Today:
There Will Be Blood
The Darjeeling Limited
Repo Man

Only one I've seen was Darjeeling, which was good-but-not-great in theatres.  I'm hoping to warm up to it a little.  The other two I've heard so much about lately that it's gonna be hard not to be a little disappointed, but I'm hopin'.

I was kind of disappointed when I found out the Circle Jerks don't really sound like they do in that movie.

Just saw Across the Universe. While the film sometimes feels a bit too much like a soundtrack to the music if you know what I mean, shit was still Awesome.

i couldn't sleep last night, because i had 'new job anxiety'. at 2-something i start watching cujo on tv.
dude!! i saw this at one point in my childhood, but there was no way i was ready for that dog! what a great movie. man, when cujo is going crazy cause the rabies are making him go crazy to sound, and he is beating his head bloody on the door of the hot car where the mother and son are trapped.
awesome!!

o hay i forgot to mention that i saw "there will be blood" the other night.

man, that movie is AMAZING. i felt like i was finally seeing a well-respected classic that had stood the test of time and that i'd been hearing about for years. not because it's gotten that sort of hype, but just because that's how good it was. it reminded me of "the godfather" or even "citizen kane". yes, i'm aware that's major hyperbole but i think it deserved it. outstanding movie.

I went to see The Visitor today. As reported in another thread, it's by the same guy who wrote/directed The Station Agent. What I didn't know is that the guy who wrote/directed these movies is this guy. I really loved the movie.

So I was an extra in this movie yesterday.  The downside is that I will have to actually watch that movie now to see if I'm in it.

Yeah, they've been shooting it in and around Ukrainian Village, Logan Sq, Humboldt Park for a while now.  They were shooting some scene at that ghetto panaderia under the Califoria blue line stop.
