This reminds me of the time Sundiata Gaines cut down LeBron last January. Maybe the Jazz are secret Regular Season Giant Killers.

How'd Milsap get all them points before he picked up 11 in the last 30 seconds of regulation? I don't have the broadcast here so I'm following gameCast.

Millsap was all over the interior during regulation.  The third in particular.

112-111!  Go Utah!

Also, I get that the Jazz had to foul to stay in the game at the end, but a 47/15 free throw disparity is unheard of. WTF happened there?

Announcers mentioned that Utah typically foul a lot (average 34 free throws allowed, I think?).

Why did Dwyane Wade foul the Earthbound Dutchman with .4 seconds left?

Great game. Great win by the Jazz. The Miami Thrice all put up very good numbers in this game. Goes to show how bad the rest of the team is, especially in comparison. Really, look at this: http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=301109014

Carlos Arroyo, the point guard, had two assists in 29 minutes. This team functions very peculiarly.

The Cavs play the Nets tomorrow, again. If the Cavs win them like they did tonight, they'll have the same record as Miami. How 'bout that.

Stunning game... give a lot of credit to the Utah for overcoming a rather hefty deficit.

I'll disagree about the rest of the Miami team.  I mean, with Wade, LeBron, and Bosh all on the floor, who would you want handling the ball and shooting?

Cav's are, surprisingly, a lot better than I would have anticipated.  They're quite limited, sure.  And they rely heavily on points off turnovers.  But they're definitely scrappy.  It's early in the season, so a lot of stuff can change.  But the Cav's still have some teeth.

I assumed the Wade foul wasn't on purpose, but like, why would that happen? Francisco Elson?

If the playoffs started today, the 4th seeded Cavs would play the first round against the 5th seeded Heat.

Arroyo never picks up a lot of assists, it's not his style. He's not very good, but it's like he's being asked to run the team. The Heat have two wings who can create their own shots and get to the basket, so they don't need Arroyo to set them up.

Chris Bosh sucks, eh?

Elson had an open layup. It was foul and probably lose or let him go and definitely lose.

The real mistake came when they let the guard drive into the lane in the first place.

I mean, as a longtime Spurs fan, I'm baffled that Elson was even on the court on the last possession. I think he's the one guy you don't foul on an open layup! It's fun, though. He's fun.

Every year I pick a different Western Conf. team to follow, and I think I'm going with Golden State this season. I like Stephen Curry, and I like the ball those guys are playing.

GState looks like a fun team now that Nellie's gone. They even seem to be defending a little bit, despite their personnel. Surprised you didn't pick the Clippers, though-- Griffin, Jordan, and Bledsoe are all getting heavy minutes for the first time, and Gordon's no joke. Davis's injury is the best thing that could have happened to that team.

This year, I'm rooting for the other LA team, those scrappy upstart Lakers. I dunno, I got a good feeling about them, they might make the playoffs.

Do the Clippers have a Soul, though? I mean I gotta take into consideration a lot of factors beyond the circumstances of their current season before I throw support behind them. The history and narrative of their own existence is important. Do they have any reason to exist other than providing the denizens of L.A. with a team to watch when they can't snag Lakers tickets?

I like to think of the Clippers as Cursed by Bill Walton, but that doesn't make them any fun to root for. I liked the Warriors last year plenty, partly because of Anthony Randolph in addition to the limitless scoring capabilities of Steph Curry and Monta Ellis. Haven't seen em yet this year. Now that he's gone in favor of David god damn Lee, my enthusiasm is tempered a bit. I'm looking forward to seeing them play, though.

Another thing with the Clippers is I don't know how to feel about Vinny Del Negro. I had some sympathy for him in Chicago, b/c I thought he was dealt a bit of a bad hand out there and still won some games. But I just find something strongly distasteful about his presence on the bench in LA.
