All I've ever heard of this band is a song called "People's Party" from this brand new album, and I was digging it. Very peculiar, but very compelling, too. I'll be checking it out.

Check this, davy - Did I Step On Your Trumpet?

That is a great song. I haven't listened to Ships in too long.

I listened to the new one today, but I was too distracted to really notice it. I'll try again on the weekend maybe.

Yeah Nick, that's the new one. I got a promo copy of it and reviewed it for RVA. It's really good.

Rasputin Music has a couple dozen of these Iron & Wine posters they're handing out to whoever asks.

I've got mine. Anyone else want one? Looking at you, peacocks.

hahaha I'm doing ok without a huge poster of three fancy men in a fancy room although my description of it makes it sound more desireable. Thanks for thinking of me!  Very Happy

ps. I'm not really obsessed with peacocks. I don't quite remember why I chose this login name, but I think it was a song lyric.

I'd cop that based on the cover alone, Antero.  Same to davy...

I definitely downloaded that Soulja Boy mixtape purely based on the cover and the knowledge that there are two Clams Casino beats on it.

The Radiohead album art inserts and such for the retail CD version of The King of Limbs has been revealed. Check out the little box on the top row, second from the left.

I may relent to Radiohead for the art alone. Very least, I owe The King of Limbs a listen. After all, The King is Dead

I tried to this morning. I could only get through three songs before I had to put on something less terrible instead.

Ghost Box continues to kill it. My favorite graphic design in the "music industry" right now:

word. I think the only reason I listened to this is that it's a free download and I don't do illegal downloads anymore now that I mostly work on a job-provided laptop but had to feed my procrastination-monkey somehow; my only real response was "huh, guess that How to Dress Well band isn't so bad after all, comparatively speaking."

edited to add: my other takeaway was "we're decadent. did we mentioned how decadent we are? here's another song about our decadence." I dunno; if you're gonna devote yourself to coke-fueled anonymous sex, like, enjoy yourself a little more, geez.

This is not "pretty", this is fucking HOT. Like, I might have to go lie down.

I know, I'm weird. But seriously, you guys.
