"[Facebook's audience] is best visualized as a vicious, lazy, profoundly ignorant, perpetually hungry organism craving the warm god-flesh of the anointed. Personally I like to imagine something the size of a baby hippo, the color of a week-old boiled potato, that lives by itself, in the dark, in a double-wide on the outskirts of Topeka. It's covered with eyes and it sweats constantly. The sweat runs into those eyes and makes them sting. It has no mouth, Laney, no genitals, and can only express its mute extremes of murderous rage and infantile desire by changing the channels on a universal remote. Or by voting in presidential elections."
                      -William Gibson, Idoru.
I was thinking about this exact quote at some point last night.

This is the most awesome thing ever.

Anyhoo, I'm still really digging Buzz. Sort of makes me wish other people would link their blogs/Twitter/whathaveyous to it so I could get everything consolidated nicely in my Gmail window.

I'm not doing that till there's a toggle on both ends. If you follow me on Buzz I'm not going to dictate that that's where you're gonna get twitter from me whether you like it or not (and I've unfollowed people non Buzz who have linked their twitters and added nothing else). I'm happy to miss out on comment threads on people's 140 character notes to avoid reading them twice.
