Love that cover though.

It was just him and electric guitar. 30 minutes, all new stuff apart from one song from Wind's Poem. Very good though. You could sort of imagine how the songs are going to sound when fully formed.
I asked him about the Lil Wayne vid and he said he was not at all embarrassed by it.

Me!

It was a lovely show - I particularly liked the very first song but I can't really remember it now. On the way home I listened to the bootleg I think someone posted here and got stuck listening to the song with the vocoder thing over and over again.

that was me who posted the bootleg. i think most of, if not all the stuff on there he played the other night. the vocoder one is 'the place i live', didn't sound quite as good without the vocoder. i think the first song might have been 'lone bell'.

Sounds colossal, very Clannad/Popol Vuh/Wyndham Hill as filtered through raw-dog open reel tape recording and cavernous spaces. I am fucking EXCITED about this one.

Much like I expected, and much like with Wind's Poem, a song that did absolutely nothing for me live becomes totally amazing via a full arrangement.

i do really like the version i have on that bootleg.

if these two albums keep up that kind of quality though, i think phil's mount eerie output will have bettered his microphones output.
