Couldn't agree with you more. Four more years of Bush is fucking scary. And Jandek should be president.

Jandek is even more president than Eric B.

And that's saying something.

Jandek's got my vote. One time he sent me two water-damaged Jandek CDs for free. Which is how I now own two Jandek CDs. Without sleeves.

Well, I'm hopefully going to catcht the Mae Shi on the, um, campaign trail tonight at 2nd Ave. pizza in downtown Seattle this evening (that is, if they don't go on too early... the show starts at 6pm, and i don't get back from work until 6:30pm at the earliest.).  I'll give you the reports of their speech and what they'll do for the country, if I can catch them.

sedita, i'm 5-8 minutes walking distance from your art opening.  How long does it go for? (apologies for the digression, folks.)

i'm sure it'll go until late-ish,
though i will have to leave around 10:30 or so,
to get my folks to the airport, for a redeye to NY.

incidentally, the show is a split with my dad.
my paintings, his wood and ceramics.

hope to see you.

Wasn't Jandek an advisor to Dick Cheney during those mysterious, absent months just after September 11th?

From what I heard from their site, the Mae Shi sound like early Trumans Water, but more "melodic" and not as jaw-dropping?  Then again, I think many have forgotten who Trumans Water were/are, anyway.

I hope I will catch them live tonight and report back.

I am personally partial to Wiley, because he is obviously an honest guy. He admitted to eating all the pies, and I think that's admirable.

George Washington was born in Viriginia. How does that whole nationality thing work when it comes to colonies?  If he was English then so were Adams and Jefferson and a few others, no? Martin Van Buren was the first president born after 1776 (if that's what we're going on).

Considering his large hippie/radical left wing following, Nader may in fact be the most "hip" candidate out there. Does anyone else find that incredibly frightening?

To paraphrase the great Zaphod Beeblebrox, Nader's so unhip his bum fell off.

I love H2G2!
That line reminds me of a line I came up with in a pseudo-rap battle I had with a friend:
"You're so unhip, you need a prosthetic"

Is Dave Barry running this year? If so, he's got my ineligible vote.
