My kids are weird.  I found this warning on their bedroom door yesterday morning

I don't know.  I just don't know.

Wait... isn't it Nick's kids who are half-Korean?

Has there been some sort of bodyswap going on between the LPTJ kids?

My kids could not in any way be mistaken for anything resembling Korean.  Except for the massive quantities of kim chi which we as a family consume.

Damian did take some tae kwon do yeah.  And the sign is very obviously his handiwork.  Max doesn't do cursive.

Yep!

Jim, I love that sign, although I'm as confused as anyone as to what is going on there.

It took me like three months of living in West Philly before that finally left my head -- roughly the same amount of time that it took for me to stop humming Le Tigre's "My Metrocard" every time I got on the NYC subway.

did you ever notice how the A trains used to make a sound like the opening interval of "Take the A Train"?  I don't think they do it any more, but while I found it awesome the first few times I heard it, it drove me crazy after awhile.

here's a clip, but the interval I'm talking about is a little unclear.  I think its a major sixth, maybe?  omg, my music theory and melodic dictation skillz have evaporated.

also, that album is amazing.  I thought I owned it, but I guess I don't.  to be rectified at the next trip to the CD store...

Which interval are you guys talking about?  The one at the beginning of most versions of the song isn't in that clip, I don't think.

Cute kid!!!

I almost forgot, but this is as good of a place to mention it as any: yesterday I saw a tiny dog wearing a diaper.  No, seriously.  A diaper.  I felt really bad for it.

Jim, from what I can tell, all your children look exactly alike, which is awesome, because they are just tops. Look at the arms on that one! When will he start riding a bicycle?

I swear, hannah, if I lived in the same city as Ian, I would already have tried to steal him dozens of times. I love him sooo much!
