Come work in retail.  You can feed the people until they're vomiting out the sides of their cars, load them down with gifts until they can hardly walk, but the stream of idiot people-children never slows or thins; it just gets surlier and stupider.

That is a pretty good euphemism for nards, yes.  I got a small bag to carry (like a murse, really) but have started callnig it my Magic Sack, in a very clever reverse euphemism.

yes, yes--I am *that* desperate.  real or euphamistic lolcats, bring 'em on.
though I think I may have to go home soon, as my body insists on attempting to cough up a lung or two.

I refuse to participate in any LOLcats shenanigans.

But Hover Manatees? eh?

Ah, you probably left already anyway.

Jim, I had left by then. But that is still awesome.

Why is the board so dead today?  I have a massive headache.  I am thinking of going out and buying Mario Galaxy.  I am also combing through How to Cook Everything in the interest of going grocery shopping shortly.  This book looks amazing!  Full of good information and a LOT of things I'd like to eat.

I was travelling from NH to NYC, and reading The Perfect Scoop on the way.  I have this cockamamie idea for Cranachan-flavored ice cream.

That's excellent!

I'm feeling like I should be baking things to break in my new cookie scoop.

. . . really, I got nothing. Hi!

What up, girl?  With our new kitchen items, we can combine our powers and make ice-cream-cookie-sandwiches!

Good plan! What kind of cookies go with Cranachan? Shortbread?

edit: Oatmeal, probably. . .

You know, if I had been a harder thinker, I bet I coulda figured out where everybody who's here during the day went.  Traveling or having the day off.  Only real suckers like me were hanging out at their office, doing really mind-numbing work.

I split a family pack of Leopard with my dad today. So far he's running fine, but he's got an intel mac. As soon as I finish backing up my work, we'll see how the Powerbook takes to it.

Oatmeal indeed!  I'm thinking the base will be the lavender-honey ice cream recipe in The Perfect Scoop, with a bit of scotch added, and some toasted candied oats mixed in.  Then I'll maybe serve each scoop atop a saucer of uncooked berry sauce.

And, if anybody cares, the install went off without a hitch. I can't believe how easy it was. I'd gargle Jobs' cock, etc. etc. etc.
