i think he's referencing ratings he gave movies when he was 13 or so, though, so by now he probably can't explain why he gave them those ratings either.

Well, I was thinking more about the watching 7 Road House movies now, although 13 year old Whit's logic would be pretty interesting. But that just seems like torture.

Although apparently the 2006 straight to video sequel did have Corey Hart and Jake Busey in it...

The idea of 7 Road House movies makes me giggle like a fiend.

Even better would be 70 Red Dawn movies.

Memorable quotes for Road House 2: Last Call

Chubby D'Acosta: You know why they call me The Robot?
Chubby D'Acosta: Because I'm so automatic at kickin' your ass.

If only he was actually Corey "Sunglasses at Night" Hart. I was kind of disappointed when it wasn't him, actually.

Yeah, there was certainly a live action police academy. I'm pretty sure it had the big big dude and the blonde woman from the film in it. I'm going to be real worried if I'm wrong and this show didn't exist, because it's pretty clearly in my head.

In other news I'm posting with vomit all down my shirt. Not mine, but one of the old timers.

I'm at work helping the production company they bought in for this big shindig do their thing. Mostly, I'm just standing around while they do their thing, but occasionally I've answered questions and opened things. I kind of ran out of things to do to look busy, so now I'm just sort of hiding in the booth and hoping I shouldn't be scurrying around doing something that I'm not aware I should be scurrying around doing.

Not only was there a cartoon, there were toys to market it. One of them had a dude in his boxers and he had little fisticuffs (handcuffs shaped like fists). I knew about the cartoon long before the movies, I remember.

Edit: Pictures!

Edit again: The show's intro. Hi-larious.

I had that exact toy, and I'm pretty positive it was the only Police Academy action figure I owned!

Pretty good.

Do you fancy becoming scabs and crossing the writers picket line? This could be our chance!

Only 48 left!  Still, I think we could rock some Saracen/Riggins slashfic to great effect.

It took me way too long to realize it wasn't me that Chris and Dom were gonna write slashfic about.

Not that I believe for a second that nether of them has ever written slashfic about me before.

This is a non-sequitur, but I have been wondering which poster in the comments of Boingboing posts was Pollo, until I read this, and I knew it was him:

I just knew.  Then, the name on the post confirmed it.

Funny you should mention a buster, because in the already mentioned slashfic you do get busted on quite a bit.
