spacer I've been listening to Last Exit all week, and I have searched in vain for an optimistic core. Even its brightest emotional moment is called "High Come Down," which title should stir grim memories of sunrises observed unwillingly through streaked apartment windows. Its darkest, the title track, puts as much space between its notes as possible, as though halting in its speech, hesitant about going through with what it came here to do.
