That's it, man. It's as though the Junior Boys want to lord it over everybody: they're capable of achieving very subtle gradations of feeling with the sparest strokes available anywhere. That there are lyrics at all indicates to me that the Junior Boys don't wish to be seen as making music specifically & exclusively for consumption by people who are in the act of dancing; that the lyrics are so vague, yet sound so perfectly indicative in their context, suggests that they're of the opinion that the very nature of the descriptive trope is something rather looser than it once seemed to be. |
