| And so, if “I Might
Be Wrong” was the album’s center, “Morning Bell/Amnesiac”
is its pivot, the fulcrum that flips it toward its final moments.
What is left of our narrator after he’s exposed so much of himself
in “Morning Bell” is the album’s true genius, and so
I am grateful for “Morning Bell,” but I am also glad that
we get to move past it. It is no place to hang one’s hat. |
