Dance Tonight! Revolution Tomorrow! isn’t going to change the world or anything; the mosh-crew critics are right when they accuse emo of not really having much of a point. But if you haven’t heard what these sorts of bands do, you should. It’s worth the twenty minutes it’ll take you to get your flesh charred by Orchid’s guy-going-crazy routine. It will wake up the neighbors if you turn it up loud. It’s primal and abrasive in the manner of great rock and roll. If you already don’t like emo, this won’t change your mind, but if you don’t know how you feel about the all-screamers subdivision of the emo league, then Orchid is a great, incredibly loud place to start.
