Which is why, if they have to play anything
at all during the seventh-inning stretch anywhere besides Wrigley
Field, they should play "Hash Pipe." If its collective
blind strength that you need, Weezer has muzzled it and let it run
clear out to the end of its leash. A crowd of people locked into a
single focused mood is the very environment for which "Hash Pipe"
was created. It would be great in any circumstances, but as a substitute
for empty platitudes that people applaud out of a sense of duty instead
of an instinctive feeling of support, it is peerless. I await word
from Bud Selig on this question. I trust that the commissioner will
get on the case with all due speed.
