ok I am back and may I just say before we go any further that any Lisa Gerrard fans in attendance are right to mad about the term "new age" being applied here. what a foul term! how horrible! "new age," next thing you'll be saying that hippies are gonna love this stuff well ahem yes err um actually they probably would or that it's "relaxing" harr, well, arrr, it is quite the tonic for the nerves, I gotta say or that it's "cinematic" when Lisa Gerrard has a long history of actually doing soundtrack work

but what to do, what to do? Immortal Memory, which after all is the name of the new Lisa Gerrard, is so much more beautiful than anything I heard last year, and probably the year before: beautiful in a grand way, beautiful in a marvellously ambitious way. her collaborator is on Patrick Cassidy, whom I gather is also a soundtracks guy, I don't know and couldn't care because I have not been to see a movie since God knows when & I don't pay attention to the soundtracks of the movies I see on television
