If I have said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times: if you want to earn the love of the kids, then you’ve gotta piss off their parents, and if you’re gonna piss off their parents, you might as well do it right. I am told that Slipknot, greatly beloved these days by adolescent boys looking to raise the parental blood pressure index a notch or two, may actually have a few interesting ideas up their sleeves, but really, who could possibly care? If the best they can come up with to fling in the faces of the authority figures whose power so torments their fans is “Fuck it all, fuck this world/fuck everything that you stand for/don't belong, don't exist/don't give a shit/don't ever judge me,” then they deserve to be fired from their jobs as corruptors of the youth and their reins should be handed over to somebody who’s up to the task. Somebody like S Gebedi, lyricist, lead singer and vocalist for Thanatos, who, in “Sincere Chainsaw Massacre,” writes:

Call me an outcast, call me a freak
I don’t care, I don’t give a fuck
When my chainsaw, rips your flesh
You will know, who’s in control
