The first thing that occurs to somebody, anybody who knows anything about the situation down there in Chechnya, is this: “The de facto leader of the free world can’t be serious, can he?” And the second thing that comes to mind is something along these lines: “OK, so the Boston Tea Party, that counts as terrorism, right? I mean, it has to, using your own defintion of ‘terrorism,’ doesn’t it? Well, doesn’t it?” But the third thing that comes to mind - after you’ve given up, just after you’ve realized that it wouldn’t matter if Jesus Christ Himself made his dissent known personally to the President: George W. would stick to his guns - is a big, loud, direct-from-the-very-depths-of-your-soul “whatever.” |
