Two of the three records I
want to talk to you about this week are by Norwegian metal guys. I have
been thinking about these records for a month or so now; they’re both
quite good, and you should hear them if the metal stuff we talk about here
interests you much, since one’s by Immortal -- the default black metal
kings of the hill now that Emperor’ve broken up -- and the other’s
by Aeternus, who I don’t know much about because of my tendency to
light one-sheets on fire. But I have hesitated to say anything about these
rocking, rocking records, which throw down the raw-throat cold-blasted metal
fury wit’ wicked mad flava, because of concerns about the politics
of the bands in question. |
