So anyhow what happens
is this: after a terrific opening set by Jucifer, who had more amplifiers
than God and were twice as loud, High on Fire sets up their equipment.
The bass cabinet was six feet high, and the drum kit was real basic,
and Matt Pikes up at far stage left with no shirt on like I
said before, and the first thing the very first thing
that he says to the audience is: Hi, were High
on Fire, were from Oakland, California. Everybody here drunk
or stoned or something tonight? Half of the crowd cheered. OK,
good, he says, and then the show starts. |
