| So here's how it works with the iPod. You pick the CD in whose music you're
interested, and you either access the Gracenote CD database (if you're online)
or manually enter its rap sheet (if you're not, which is me at the moment),
and then you convert the files you want into mp3 (if you like) or AAC (if you
enjoy the vague eau-de-133+ that comes from using a lesser-name-dropped codec).
The advantage to not being online, and the thing that's kept me happily & unhealthily
busy all day, lies in assigning genres to the songs you import. |
