Some of these metal labels have been around for years, you know, and as with anything that hangs around long enough, they run through hot and cold phases. Some of them are throwing their arms rather too enthusiastically around the mosh-metal murffmurffcore craze, which isn’t awful, but which isn’t too much to write home about, either. Some of them throwing their hats in the ring with the goth-metal thing that’s going on in Germany right now, which has a quality or two to recommend it but which generally can’t shake free of the silliness that encumbers so many goth-related things. There are high and low points in both of these directions, but you know what our rule is here at Last Plane to Jakarta.
