Went out to check the mail this cool late-autumn
morning and there’s a package from the Self-Starter Foundation,
who are the best label of all time because they released Lifter Puller’s
Fiestas and Fiascos. It’s a busy day because I’m
leaving town tomorrow for a great big tour and there is a lot on my
mind. There are also at least twenty records near the stereo to which
I haven’t listened yet. Some of them have been there for weeks.
One of them is Blood Money by Tom Waits, for Christ’s
sake, still sealed. I went through the rest of the mail and then cracked
open the Self-Starter package. |
