I say “probable” because I am not going to parse the matter
any further. If you had heard the song with the line “I raise
my hand against it all” then you’d understand, I suspect.
I think that even the cover art, which appears to be a photograph
of a man blowing out his brains in an empty room somewhere, would
give you an inkling of just how cool and frightening and life-giving
Damage Done really is. But whatever, man. I don’t do this
very often, but there are times when it’s appropriate, and this
is one of them. This album deserves your total attention for as long
as it takes you to start irrationally loving it with all your heart
and soul. Any year-end list on which it doesn’t appear is a total
joke. It’s got the twin-guitar thing going for it just like Thin
Lizzy did. Just go out and buy the damned thing. We’ll
