But there is something bad about Morbid Angel also, although it is not really something bad about Morbid Angel but about music fans. Morbid Angel has been around for a long time now and were “pioneers” in the field of death metal. So of course there are people who want to say that Morbid Angel can’t be good any more because they have been around too long. You will always know when you are talking to one of these people because the first thing they ever say is “their early stuff was way better.” That is always the exact phrase they start a conversation with. Then they tell you that Covenant was a total brutal slab of churning death but after that it all went downhill. Or they say that the original vocalist was the best or something like that. But if you name any other band who has made four or more albums these people will say the exact same thing! It doesn’t matter what band you are talking about, they will always say “their early stuff was better!” So as you can see this is a personal problem of theirs and does not really have anything to do with THE MUSIC.
