All you have to do is listen to Gateways to Annihilation to know you are enjoying one of the best metal records you ever heard! I have always loved this album since I first got it but last night during the changeover from grown-up John to John’s inner eleven-year-old, I really got into it pretty deep. We were on Interstate 35 in Kansas. If you have never driven through Kansas let me tell you something, it’s real different. OK so by now we had listened to almost every CD in the CD wallet and it was getting 1) real dark and 2) pretty late. We had been driving for nine hours already that day! There was nothing but Christian talk shows on the radio. They were talking about how society has gotten worse since women started working outside the home. Shut up boring Christian radio people! So we slid Morbid Angel into the CD player!
