But second in line after the completely great rhythm of Morbid Angel, which just gets more and more great the more attention you pay to it, is the chords. They are mostly played by Trey Azagthoth, who invented Morbid Angel. There have been a few singers and I think a few drummers along the line but Trey is always in there. In my opinion he is one of the best guitarists since Jimi Hendrix! But in many ways he is better than Jimi Hendrix because Jimi Hendrix must have wanted to be famous or he would not have played music that everybody likes. And picked a stage name everybody can remember. But Trey Azagthoth plays chords that hardly even sound like chords most of the time, and picked a stage name that takes so long to read that you never even get around to pronouncing it at all!
