There is no band in the history of rock music that ever sounded like Morbid Angel! There are lots of them now but that is because Morbid Angel gave them the idea. Yes it is true that lots of bands in Sweden and Norway and even Germany and England sounded a little like Morbid Angel when they first came out. But Morbid Angel has this sense of rhythm that is completely incredible and weird! The drummer is always playing at exactly four times the actual tempo, so if you put a metronome at 120 (I know this because I started taking piano lessons four years ago when I was six) then the drummer would actually be playing four hundred and eighty beats a minute! AND HE IS!!!
